Suited to all purposes, Herptek terrariums can be heated in several different ways according to your animals needs and technical requirements
Heat bulbs location :
Heating bulb and ceramic heater spaces are built in to ensure safe installation and prevent any risk of burning your animal or your cage. Each model has been specifically designed with the bulb location in mind. This results in the most efficient space / heat ratio. The larger the terrarium the larger the bulb or the larger capacity of heater can be installed. This easily allows larger areas in the cage to be warmed to suit larger animals. Bulb locations can be accessed from the back of the terrarium. You can reach them without dismantling your power source.
Think about insulation! Insulation panels can be placed between terrariums to avoid heat transfer. This will minimise any thermal transfer from lower to higher levels.
It is also possible to heat Herptek terrariums with heat mats located under the floor. Use a heat mat no larger than one third of the terrariums floor surface It is necessary to control all heating appliances with a thermostat. For safety reasons, we recommend that you do not use heating cables or carpets inside the terrarium. Temperatures should be checked constantly with a thermometer. Please read all instructions before use. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
