DOWNLOADABLES #43 / Taking it real easy…

Hi all, new DOWNLOADABLES available, it’s 4-3 / it’s for free (it rhymes). Taking it very easy these past few days, all i’m looking at now is layovers ! So I’ll be outta Dubai and that is what’s good, meaning less spending, more saving, seeing more green and breathing fresh air. Less beige too. Will be heading to Jakarta this Saturday, then my last layover will be Manilla. Been doing nonsense the past two days, treating myself to DVD’s (again), going over to the “noman’s land” which is 21st Century Tower to Gregory’s flat to watch DVDs there also, being total fools and listen to good 90’s music. Eating Haagen Daaz ice creams, Pizza Hut specials and all sorts of junk food. In between stuffing myself, I redesigned the cover art for the mp3’s, so you lucky new generation iPod freaks can enjoy some eye-candy while listenning to some boogalicious tunes. Otherwise I had an email last week from MotherOfSodwee saying begging me to post this link (click the green link to open) on Airboy, it’s a five-piece band called Man And Unable [MAU], they make good sound, and by the look of it, are really good at making hilarious videos too (I’ll let you discover those, see the rabbit one first !)

No more BlaBla, let’s get down to business. Some good old live performance by critically acclaimed band The Cool Kids on Airboy Music by Sodwee image pictureColdplay here live @ Glastonbury, treating the crowd to a cover of Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Get You Outta My Head”… Another great one will me Groove Armada’s cover of Madonna’s “Crazy For You”. Also headlining today is my favourite Hop-Hip band at the moment, The Cool Kids, I’ve already mentioned them earlier this year. They’re a combo from the US on the same wave length as NAS and his 80’s infused rap, we have here a great come-back of good ghetto music… I was hooked to that bassline ! We have made a little space for US and A’s favourite french singer-songwriter Yael Naïm and her cover of Björk’s “Bachelorette”… And since I’m now living on the African Continent, we’ll have Youssou N’ Dour in the playlist with Touba-Daru Sallam, a track I came across today, and of which I thought was great…

Coldplay – Can’t Get You Outta My Head (Kylie Minogue cover)

The Cool Kids – Stove Top Oven Fresh Baked Goods

Yael Naïm – Bachelorette (Björk cover)

Youssou N’ Dour feat. Fathy Salam – Touba Daru Sallam

Groove Armada – Crazy For You (Madonna cover)

Voilà!
