Yeeeeehaaaaaaaa, you guys have been downloading 31.2 gigabytes of music in June alone (and we’re only the 15th). Our predicted traffic for mp3 downloads should top around 70 Gb by the end of the month ! 70 Gigs fools, that’s around 2.5 Gbs A DAY !!! That’s gigantic. So we have discovered some truly amazing covers and remixes so far and today is no different. Today feels special, I’m posting up some of my favourite tune of all time, plus a GOLD tracklist of cover & remixes that, no doubt, you’ll love and listen as much as I do ! Some of the tracks, like The Roots “Seed 2.0″ are on my top list of most played tracks in iTunes, iPhone and iPod along with “Suzie Q” by Creedence Clearwater Revival and “Y Control” by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. So just for the sake of sharing my love for these 3 songs, I’m putting them upon the blog.
First up is a really nicely done remix of Wino’s “TDOTO” by Al Usher, nice apéro tune, complete with a Gin & Tonic, slice and ice and you’re away ! Following is the Ting Tings iPod commercial soundtrack remixed by a mounting person in the remix industry, mister Christian Vorbeau ! He’s been remixing beauty tracks with his own twist and was always spot on. Then two original track by Justice & N.E.R.D. I’ll let you react to those in the comment section. The best cover today must Baby Charles’ “I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor”. She managed to turn one of the Monkeys best tune into a Soul masterpiece ! Also Fatty Prince reggae version of Snoop Dogg’s “Gin & Juice” is a must have ! Impress your friends, play them some of these tunes ! The rest of the tracks I let you discover !
