DOWNLOADABLES #63 / I Heard It Through The Grapevine

My Wagamama is on the way, and the Kaiser Chiefs are back on my soundsystem. This time with a cover song of iconic Marvin. Marvin Gaye precisely. The Kaiser Chiefs aren’t new. They’ve done 3 albums so far and planning a European tour for March 2009. I saw these guys in Paris a few years ago and loved their act. Ricky Wilson, on the vocals his just a complete fool when it comes to entertain the crowd. He went on to crowdsurf the hip teens and their mothers that day ! If, by ay chance, you haven’t heard of them, you probably remember their hit single “I Predict A Riot” who was awarded, amongst others, best rock anthem by NME. Back to the cover. I really do think this is a good cover. Simply because it’s fun. Marvin sang it one way, Kaiser Chiefs sang it their way… Also on in the pan for todays DOWNLOADABLES, we have the likes of Friendly Fires who we talked about in a very recent post and Goldfrapp, another of my favourite bands. They covered The Klaxons for us today and we’re happy to have the track for you to download… The rest of the tracks are for you to discover ! Tell me what you think in the comment section below !! Have a good day !
