Today is quite a special day. Very productive on my side as I’ve managed to pick my laundry – by the way none of the item I’ve dropped were missing – did some cleaning around in the flat and organized my bedroom a little. Just in time for me to leave for Glasgow and then straight onto Jakarta.
But the highlight of the day was stumbling upon this amazing track from famous blind duo based in Bamako, Mali. Amadou et Mariam came out in the limelight back two years in France when they, out of the loom, managed to headline some of the biggest summer festivals in France. I have seen them live back 3 years ago whilst on hols with mates in the western part of France… Near Brest for those who care to know. On a side note, Mariam, is one of my best mate’s mother in laws cousin, but that is just for the record. What is the best news here, is that couple are about to drop a new album and some of the tracks I hear were produced by Damon Albarn, most known for his work as frontman for Blur and the mastermind behind the Gorillaz awesomeness. And this track is one of those. Just a simple, beautifully arranged song with great electro beat for background. It’s a definate *DOWNLOAD OR DIE* just for the vocals alone. But as an entirety the thing is just to die for. I know Mother will totally digg this. Finally I will not be surprised if these two make it international this coming new year. Keep a look out for them at your nearest HMV or Virgin ! Download the Sabali track below !

Otherwise we have some of the coolest mp3s this week, starting of with another leaked song from Britney Spears’ upcoming album named “Circus”. It’s a song that grows on you although we fear a Blackout #2 coming our way. From what I’ve heard so far, the “If U Seek Amy” should be highlight on that future album.

Otherwise, KO rapped some good ol’ lines on The Ting Tings debut single ‘Shut Up & Let Me Go’ taking the song to a whole new level. Remember this song was used for an iPod commercial not too long ago and still ranks as one of the best songs this year per Airboy.

As for the rest I recommend the Kanye Vs. Yelle mashup, it’s worth a listen, you can safely squeeze it in your next party playlist too. To round things of we have added an improptu cover of Corona’s “Rhythm Of The Night” by Ex-Otago. Fun one ! Voila enjoy the DOWNLOADABLES. I’ll leave the blog alone for a few days now so you can all catch up with the posts so far and I’ll be coming back in a week or so (maybe before who knows ?). Definately go see them, it’s a real good show. Plenty of colors, and the singing is great. They might not be able to see but trust me they can feel the crowd !
