Open air boogie. DIY masters

Despite not being at 100% of my health right now I couldn’t miss out on a booze fuelled night out with some cool dudes including Misha, Marilyn, Sarah, Irena, Chaouki, Tall Ben and others we met at the Lodge. A disco with 2 different floors, one for hip-hop and their pathetic dance battles, the other for Electro-Techno goodness, and the latter being outdoors, this brings some added value to the venue. You can’t top dancing the night away, a drink or two in hand, while in the freshness of the air we have at the moment in Dubai ! A few drinks later we decided to call it a day. Precisely, Tall Ben and myself had been working hard changing some lightbulbs and playing with electricity in general.

I had bought some paper lampshade from IKEA a while ago thinking it would only take a few minutes to install. But being the laziest sloth on earth, I didn’t come round to force myself to have a go at putting these things up. This is when Tall Ben comes in handy. Not only because he’s twice as tall as I am, thus abling him to reach the ceiling, but he’s also very good at DIY. So out of the blue, we decided to check those lampshades and get them up there. 2 hours later, with the living being a total mess, we managed to have decent lampshades. I do not know if you remember the previous ones, but they looked like they came straight out the 60s, the type of lampshades you’d find at your grandmothers you know… So I’m pretty happy we got those out the way !

The future is getting a little brighter. I’m feeling a little better than the two previous days and the prospect of an accepted swap for a CDG on the 2nd got me smiling this morning afternoon.

Thank you all for your kind supportive comments on the previous post ! Check out the pictures of yesterday night :

  4. Oh looks like a fun filled night! I don’t think there’s any outdoor clubbing here, it should be fun!

I wanted to get those lights from Ikea some time ago but I had no idea how to install them! I was pretty sure I would be electrocuted if I tried! good job guys!
