Jeee wiiiiizzz thought this would never happen again… ever ! I’m sleep deprived and forced myself self outta bed this morning at 11.30 am. Note that the night before I came back from my Paris trip at 1 in the morning and went straight to Zinc, cause I missed the place believe it or not ! Went to bed late, obviously and woke up at 11.30 as I already said. It’s quite a challenge for me and I think any time-zoners/jetlaggers like myself. It’s a horrible feeling to sleep 15-16 hours and still feel horribly tired. But I guess we have to go with it. At six in the morning I had already planned I needed to get UV-ready for Mauritius and avoid the dreaded sunburns I had scored the last time I was there. So the best thing to do was to lounge around at the pool this afternoon. So I did. Brought some white wine along, music and pals. Nothing fancy just time relaxing by the water and enjoying the company of others in the great weather Dubai offers at this time of year. Recalls directly the few first days I was here a year ago… Just arrived and loved the weather, whilst training to operate these aircrafts. Anyway. While Amy was blaring through our portable speakers and iPods, we were happily sippin’ on Gin & Juice, or wine for those more subtle individuals. People from the otherside of the pool congregated closer to the soundsystem to enjoy the soothing sounds. Lovely afternoon. I did get my tan on as predicted and happy it’s getting somewhere.
Last night at Zinc I randomly met Clauderic and Deon whom are also EK bloggers out there and seem to enjoy their time here in Dubai. Getting used to the fact they really enjoy ZINC and all the shenanigans in there. Please take the time to check out their growing blogs to have a peep at their lives : Going For It | Deon Does Dubai. Clauderic is very tall by the way, I had to look up every time he wanted to speak to me. Because, as he discovered, I’m quite short…
Plans for March are well underway, we might have a SUV stroll down to Fujeirah near the end of the month for some quality time away from the sandpit and the dust. More on that as it unfolds. In the meantime, peace out ! Check out the pictures below :
