You spin me right round with all your requests people ! I’ve been on the look out for killer mashups lately and I think I have found some pretty cool material for your bored ears. I know that it has been a while since I uploaded some stuff too, please forgive me. Today’s line up is a mix of kick ass oldies blended in with some more recent stuff. Perfect example of a good mashup would be that A-MA-ZING mix called Daft Diana. Upside Down vox over Da Funk instru-MENTAL ! Or even that mash between Dead Or Alive’s “Spin Me Right Round” and Justice international chart topper : D.A.N.C.E. It’s a killer and you should really get your ghettoblaster out for a good listen !
We also have a surprise from one of my favourite soul/blues singer at the moment, Sharon Jones and her Band The Dap-Kings came up with a brilliant cover of Janet Jackson’s “What Have You Done For Me Lately”. It’s just HUGE! And finally a loungy mash that will fit your afternoon Gin & Tonic sessions with mates : Massive Attack mashed with Lily Allen’s “Fear”. No being a big fan of the rich Chavette myself, I relayed the track to the bottom of the list. But was eager to share just because it’s a genius idea to mash it with the brilliant Trip-Hop band from Bristol.
