Hey brothaz, hey sistaz. I had to have my deep-geek moment here and share what I have been playing with all night long. It’s now past five o’clock in the morning here in Dubai (DXB) and I completely hypnotized.

Recently I took on Twitter as yet another social tool I use [often] to blab about what I do, and connect with readers and so on. But somehow, the strain of having to refresh pages, use online text fields and click the mouse to enter a tweet felt OOOH SO Two thousand and six (read 2006, the year).

Everytime I saw a new tweet it said it was sent “via tweetdeck”. Curious as I am and always technohungry, I googled that (or should I say Binged it ?) and fell on a truly amazing tool.

No more waiting for the tweet to be sent, no MORE REFRESHING and most importantly, have multiple views of your Twitter account (follows, @replies, direct messages and so on). This beast of an application does all of that under ONE SINGLE WINDOW believe it or not. Not only that, you can sync in your facebook status notificator in there too. Just absolutely amazing for someone like me who gets extremely annoyed and irritable when the interwebs are so damn slow. Especially for those who live in Dubai and are paying Etisalat an insane amount of mooolah every month for a medieval-like internet service.

So in short, TweetDeck will allow you to save a hell a lot of time if you’re a twitter addict like I have become. One of the best features along with what I mentioned above is the ability to follow searches of your own (ie I follow topics such as “Dubai”, “Emirates” etc.). And I discovered this GOLD SKYWARDS MEMBER of ours who I’ve been tweeting all night long ! Steve you’re a cool dude ! Every tweet posted by your following will display real-time turning the simple task of checking your tweeps into an addiction. Turns simple 140 character conversations into pure DOPE !

In addition to having a Concorde Cockpit looking twitter tool before your eyes, I’ve also updated the background scenery of my Twitter profile. Took some time to adjust and make things fit. Got fustrated over Photoshop for a few hours but finally came up with something decent. Check it out :
