It’s Bollywood Month for Airboy…

bolly

Hey all, since I’ll be jetting to India on numerous occasions this month I thought I could do with some cultural input from ya’ll. I have this awesomeness of a tune to share first of all (click link to download, click play to listen). The song was composed by film composer A.R. Rahman, written by Gulzar, and sung by Sukhwinder Singh. It became extremely popular quickly upon release and its music video gained the same status, partly because it was filmed on a moving train. The Hindustani version of the song is called “Chaiyya Chaiyya”, while the Punjabi and Tamil versions are called “Thaiyya Thaiyya” :

So, if you have any cool tunes for me, I’m a taker ! Send them to sodwee [at] gmail.com and I’ll be a happy man !

In other news, I’m bound for Nairobi in 3 days, and quite looking for it. We’ll see what goes down. I’m in Manchester at the moment, having a right ol’ blast on the interwebs and catching up with lost connections.

Hope you’re having a good time too.

Peace.

  5. I don’t know, never set foot on Kenyan soil. Apparently there are restaurants you go to that have all this different kinds of meat on a massive skewer and they slice it off in front of you, including Lion, Tiger, Girrafe, Gazelle, Crocodile meat etc. So I don’t know if you’ve don’t that, but I remember my batchmate telling me about it and thinking it was something worth experiencing…
