Emirates hiring again ! Recruitment is underway…

Hi all. I’m happy to be reading some interesting comments and posts all around the internet stating that Emirates will be recruiting towards the end of the year. Multiple sources confirm an opening in Cabin Crew positions. Applicants who got their Offer Of Employment withdrawn earlier in the year have received an email asking if they’d still be interested in a Cabin Crew position.

Several sources also reveal that Ab-initio courses will likely to be starting around November, December and January. Wannabe Cabin Crew in the holding pool will most likely have priority and will certainly have to go through another set of interviews and medicals.

The Emirates Group Career website, has just posted this :

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU REALLY LOOKED FORWARD TO GOING TO WORK?

…You can, by becoming one of our truly international cabin crew team.

You will be based in Dubai, a cosmopolitan city that has rapidly grown into a global tourism and commercial centre that offers something to everyone.

Award-winning Emirates Airline operates an ultra modern and fast growing fleet of wide bodied Airbus and Boeing long haul aircraft. Currently flying to over 100 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, Asia , Africa , Australia, New Zealand and the USA, we are proud of the service delivered by our multi-national team of over 120 nationalities; all trained to the highest standards.

We are currently looking for exceptional people who would like to build a career with us and be part of our rapidly growing business. Our recruitment team interviews candidates in many countries across the globe.

If you are interested in an ‘International Lifestyle’ with a difference and want to be a part of an award winningteam
please apply online.
Candidates may also appear in person and submit their CV, passport size and full length photographs at the new Emirates Group Headquarters near Dubai International Airport, Ground Floor, Entrance B, on 6th September 2009 between 4:00pm and 5:00pm.

Suitable candidates will be short listed and contacted for the selection process.

Please bring a valid UAE driving license, a UAE original health card or an original passport as identification to gain entrance to the building.

My guess is that the turnover is still quite high and the need for new crew to replace those are on the increase, and with additional aircrafts being delivered next year, it is important for Emirates to stay on top of their operations. In any case it is a good sign that things are moving on and we’re seeing some light at the end of the tunnel.

Open Days and Assessment Days will not likely to be happening before next year. They probably have enough wannabe Cabin Crew in the holding pool. If you have any further information about this, please do let me know, send me a mail, leave a comment or TWITTER me. Remember, this information is not official and should be treated accordingly, I’m just making my own assumptions on the matter.

    • Pick the good one! *cough cough, EK* Decide between the benefits and privileges. As far as location goes, it’s pretty much the same place, one or the other. But you might have a chance to see Sodwee more! =P

  12. Yeaaaaaaah! I have my interview on september 20th in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Happy and worried, cause I gained a couple of kilograms since the last time they met me. I’m planning to smile a lot, hoping they don’t notice this :D Finger crossed!!! Do you guys think this can be a reason for them not to hire me again?

  13. Just one question.
I have a visible tattoo on my ankle.
But i have noticed that some female wear pants instead of skirts.
Would it be ok since it’s covered by wearing pants?
Should i even try and just forget about it?
Fyi,I am a cabin crew for SQ now and our uniforms cover the ankles.
So don’t really have a problem here.
