Hi people. It’s been a little while since I ventured out of my flat to the wilderness that is a shopping mall here in the United Arab Emirates. I needed to print some pictures for the little project I have in mind. And I needed plenty of photos. So I hoped all the way to my fave pinoys at Mall Of The Emirates so they could print the 300 snaps for a decent price. I was flanked by no other than the now internationally recognized Cabin Crew Of The Month : Doyle. We had a great time just yapping away like two bored hens in a hut and having a hella good time. We got sick of MOEs after almost spending ten minutes in there and decided to hop on the metro and head over to the creek downtown Burj Dubai for some Pizza. I had longed a good pizza, and the prospect of having a strawberry colada, a pepperoni pizza by the water in the spring sunshine was hard to resist :

The place was packed with people. I thoroughly enjoyed the fresh air after being trapped for so long. Sunset, fountains, crowds. Something I needed really. We then crawled into the mall for some window licking ONLY. Downtown Burj is defo the new hang out ! The dancing fountains do attract a lot of people. I wish they had more going on. We were there on a Friday evening and – to my taste – it was missing some animation.

On the other hand I finally made it on a flight this morning. An easy one you might say. A quick hop over the arabian gulf, dump some self-loading freight, and hop over with a fresh set of passengers. The whole trip lasted for roughly 2 hours. I really enjoyed myself. I kinda miss flying. I miss going places. So I’m looking forward to Dar Es Salaam tomorrow morning. Apparently the hotel we stay at is exceptional. I have reloaded the camera batteries so, you should get a glimpse when I get back.

Also high on the agenda this week is the arrival of FatherOfSodwee in town. He’ll be jetting of from Paris on Tuesday evening and landing in dusty Dubai for dawn. I have moped, vacuumed, and sanitized the flat for his arrival. I’m really proud of myself once again ! It looks squeaky clean people !
