Quick note on my health, I’m cleared of sinuses, nose block and throat ache ! Weeeeeeeehoooooooo. Thanks to some pills and some nose squirting device I have fully recovered. Khalas. I can now fly without any pain.
Yesterday was my second Cairo turnaround. Nothing too exciting following my first trip there. But I actually enjoyed myself. [...]
It feels weird seeing the places I see everyday featured in the WSJ ! Wall Street Journal for you fellas ! People I even went out with are pictured (namely Lea) ! Please read on and make an opinion for yourself (leave comments). I’ve included pictures from the article. As for the weight SOP, I’m [...]
Where do I start ? It’s been pretty hectic for the last few days… Busy bee. Since I posted last we had some other antics at Zinc with a marching army of French dudes. I’d nearly forced everyone I knew in Dubai to meet up there to catch up and surprisingly a few peeps turned [...]
Today’s Cabin Crew in the hot seat is a very poised young mother with ambition. She works for a major carrier in the US and apparently likes her job so much she has to write about it on her time off (just like us really!). Heather is her civilian name. Skydoll is how she calls [...]
As promised to you earlier in the week, here are the photos from The Dubai Mall. I went back today to check out Waitrose and some other shops I didn’t manage to have a look at in depth when I was there with the french gang. I like wondering around with my soundproof headset, DVNO [...]
Today was spent mainly watching the latest on CNN, eating pot noodles and going over the highway to see french friends at the 21st century tower. But in a collective move, we decided to check out what the new, massive, WOWIWOOooooo, mall had to offer. It’s called The Dubai Mall and it’s one of the [...]
Today’s interview involves an ex commercial Flight Attendant from Down Under (again !) now converted to Corporate travel. So here we are, in the bus taking us back to the airport. The girls are behind yapping away like it’s not permitted. Gossiping in their own langage : Japanese. I can only take so much so I got the laptop out with some good background [...]
This is a typical day at work. This is posted as I’m flying out to Osaka, Japan. Will post pictures of the layover the minute I come back home. If you have further questions about Emirates and would like to start networking, you can add me on Facebook. Follow me on Twitter. Check where I’m [...]
I was impatient to fly over to Kuala Lumpur this month. It was part of my top ten destinations I was eager to get hold of. I really like Asia. The food, the people, the atmosphere is completely different. You only realise this when you mix with the crowds in busy streets or districts like [...]
After answering over 20 emails about tattoos and Emirates policy about them let me make things clearer. You can have tattoos, but as you’re working in a customer service environment it needs to be ultra discreet. It should not interfere with the relationship you build with a customer. A tattoo might be seen as rude/disgraceful/etc [...]
Straight from The Flying Kiwi
With the launch of the A380 aircraft, Emirates has decided to freshen up their image, and give all the crew who fly on this aircraft some brand new threads. Goodbye Powder Blue, and Hello Chocolate and Beige!… Not a huge change for the girls, as the company still wanted the instant [...]
Hey, now wonder I wasn’t updating the blog the past few days, no wonder my phone didn’t answer, no wonder my emails kept coming in, but never found a way out, no wonder I was absent from MSN for a total of around 5 days ! Yes Sodwee went on a little trip across the [...]
Yes, ladies & gentlemen, Sodwee has finally made it to the galley in full uniform! Doha was our destination today. A quick hop over the sea and down again. All in all, a 50 minute flight on average. On average only. Because sometimes, things happen. Even on your first suppy (validation flight, cabin crew first [...]

Six weeks of meeting & getting to know new people. Six weeks of learning thousands of lines of procedures, apply them. Six weeks of continuous [...]
